As I was channel-jumping a minute ago, I caught the end of a CNN report that the girl's call from the Polygamy compound was a police hoax. But of course, that makes no difference now, because as a result of the raid, they have the frantic moms trying to get their children back, and they plan to use the kids as hostages to get the mothers to testify against the men. The media is still on the side of the authorities, of course. This is unraveling much faster than I thought it would. It turns out that everything these people have been told about why they shouldn't cooperate with the outside world was true. God.
