Venezuelan people are better off than they were under previous regimes and vote overwhelmingly in favour of Chavez, or is this a democratic decision that you choose to ignore?
Let us not forget that the first world countries do there utmost best to try and stifle any attempts at socialism in any country that attempts it.
I do not think that it is right that these so called hard working capitalists should get all of the wealth, and leave the enviromental mess, and squalor behind.
The attitude that the Ecuadorians, or South Americans in general are a bunch of dumb lazy deadbeats has and is fostered by these "hard working" capitalists and their machines like the IMF, The World Bank, and great socially considerate companies like XOM, FCX, ABX, etc, etc.
