I hope that Bill can someday become the Sec. Gen. of the UN. I think that job is a natural for Bill.

The UN does not do much these days compared to the 50's and 60's. So I am not sure in what context you say he is fit for the SG job. Bill doesn't do much either. At least Carter is active in that he is out meeting leaders of other countries, though some of them may be the ones the Administration does not like.

This country would be lucky indeed to receive a repeat performance of the Clinton years.

Some elements only. Not everything. Besides, I wonder with the changes in the world that have taken place, if Clinton would be as successful. Some jobs, including High Tech job, will never come back. China is more powerful today. Releasing oil reserves today would not have as much of an impact as it did then. And so on and on.
