The NRA are lobbyists The weapons lobby. One of the worst bunch of lobbyists and arguably the most powerful and creepy. Their #1 priority is the massive proliferation of guns into our society without any regulations no matter how many people get killed. This includes military arsenals in private hands. They hide behind hunting issues, but nobody in America has ever suggested hunters be denied their rifles so that's a totally phony issue. The real issue is military weaponry in private hands and weapons for deranged rightwing wackos and militias. The NRA wants deranged rightwing wackjos to acquire large arsenals. But they say "wait, if you have a criminal record you can't have one". Fair enough except guess who has the highest rates of criminal records mainly because they can't afford lawyers and courts in Dixie are prejudiced against them? Blacks and other minorities. And since the NRA was founded the week after the KKK was outlawed, I think we all know the NRA's other dirty secret besides profiting off gun sales. BTW, the Reagan family and all major Police Chiefs are for common sense weapons control.
