I've heard and read all of the reasons why there is a death tax. But I still have a problem working all of my life, paying taxes on what I earned, paying taxes on the earnings from investing my remaining net income, only to have my family write a check to the govt for 55% of what I have worked for. Some like statistics, the US has the 2nd highest death tax in the world. accf.org
