It took the extraordinary bravery of a 16-year-old girl to set in motion a chain of events

I think Marci Hamilton was too quick on the dramatic draw here. I also wonder what she is implying when she writes mysteriously
The question that should be on everyone's mind at this point is where is the girl who tipped off authorities? I am afraid to know the answer, to be perfectly honest.

Really, what is the answer? Does she think they killed her? That's the vague implication, to me.

Today in the Dallas paper:

AUSTIN – Texas Rangers are pursuing the possibility that the pleas of a 16-year-old girl named Sarah, which triggered the massive child protection raid in West Texas, actually came from a Colorado woman with a history of filing false reports, officials said Friday.

Whether or not the calls were false or not doesn't alter the need for intervention, imo, but it does make things messier.
