In that case, to continue on with your argument, you should not worry at all about what you term (incorrectly) as entitlements. You should only decry that any Social Security payments that are above the level of a balanced budget be made at all.

I suggest you try that argument. Let the US Government (ok, the Bushies) default on payments to Social Security recipients as there is too little money in the bank to pay for them.

You no longer have to worry about any 'entitlements' (even when they are not entitlements) because the US Government will no longer pay its IOUs when the account runs dry. Voila, stop talking about entitlements as they are no longer an issue.
