You seem to be saying that it is ok for a country to screw investors as long as you support the government, agree with the decision, or have no financial interest.

I don't mean to put words in your mouth, but that is how it comes across. Both Canada and Ecuador have screwed investors, presumably in their perceived national interest.

I personally find it hard to differentiate, but I guess that's what makes a market.
