Well put, Josh. And there doesn't seem to be any easy answer. So many things seem to relate to this question:
--the ILLEGAL immigrant situation. We have laws in the country against this way of entering the country. And yet, many people, and many who are sworn to uphold our laws, turn their heads and willfully ignore the entire situation.
--the Illegal Drug Laws....we need to either overturn the faulty laws, or enforce them. Not sometimes one thing, and sometimes another, depending on the people things happen to...
--Sharia Law will try to be heard in this country. Hopefully, our Laws will be the ones enforced if people come to this country. Otherwise, they can return to the country of their origin.
And on a different and family level....I wonder how many of us would allow other rules but our own family rules to enter the house and be allowed to stand? Do we let our kids go into their bedrooms with company, shut the doors, do anything they please, watch whatever they please, do drugs, or make them, and all the etcs?
I do agree with LB on one thing...IF CHILDREN are NOT involved....and IF the laws of our Country are being obeyed...Live and let live. BUT if the roped off and guarded community is making bombs, or rape, pillage and burning people on our common ground, then absolutely we should NOT allow it to continue!
If kids are being held against their will, being raped and used as slaves, what kind of Nation are we that would allow that to continue???
