we really need is to be realistic about the actual challenges we face instead of being nostalgic for "threats" we find more familiar. No matter the emotional affinity most of us feel towards Tibet, it is NOT America's problem to fix. Those who think it is can go over there and join the resistance movement, if there is one. I don't like China, and hate it every time I buy a product made in China. It's getting next to impossible to avoid it. It's probably better to trade with them than to fight them, but I think we need a clear understanding and non-aggression pact and hold their feet to the fire on it. Any general looking for excuses to build up a massive military for his own sake isn't fit to serve. Do we really have people like that? Their job is to support and defend the Constitution. End of story.
