i have extremist relatives. so what? they are relatives. you think an aunt or uncle or cousin, or even a sibling or parent, has anything to do with what i decide? not. and you are talking way disconnected from his real life. he happens to have relatives who are muslims. and i know very extremist 'christians'. would you question your cristian candidate about such things? or you only worried about muslims? those badbad muslims. and who forms who? who cares. it is the person. i am not at all interested in who someone knew or learned from. only in who they are. you are giving the power of thought to another rather than the actual thinker. so... in that regard... i think you must think your republican husband, ergo i can not trust you. you must be a republican. what closer bond is there than that? you don't seriously think we are all the people we know? we simply learn this and that. and take this and that. and leave a lot of that. and hate speech? what hate speech. i listened to full sermons in context and heard not one hate speech. i heard great anger over the iraq war. but anger that was more tempered than the anger i have felt over it. america as a nation, as a people, needs to get on its knees and pray for forgiveness for what we wrought, in our thirst for vengeance, on iraq, who was innocent. the nation was innocent. the people were innocent. they had nothing to do with 9/11. they didn't have wmds. yet we have destroyed their country. we have sinned against them in a thirst for vengeance. no, we don't deserve to be punished. but we daym well should be praying for forgiveness. (is that hate speech? or is that reality. and that is all rev wright was saying. except he said like any white southern preacher says it... cept a white southern preacher says america is daymed because of gays and abortion)
