The word entitlements is used to make Social Security look like a welfare program. Most of it is simply a mandatory insurance program that people pay into and may or may not receive benefits from.

So, your argument is not that Bush is running record deficits year after year but the federal government is spending too much money period? How much money should they be spending in your estimation? Is it a total amount, a % of GDP, a per capita amount or what?
