Yes, I'm afraid they all end up going down that road to one extent or another, and that's how our crappy 51% presidents end up getting chosen. And everyone else is a victim of the evil attacks against them, for which they were entirely innocent and not responsible, naturally. Bush never did anything to justify his approval rating, it was all the nasty plots against him. So Obama will be defined by Ayers and Wright, and McCain will be the foulmouthed hothead up to his ass in lobbyists while he revels in his wife's millions while calling her a &nt in public and can't get a fact about Iraq straight to save his life. Oh yeah, he sucks up to hatemongering preachers he used to despise, but oh well. If that's the level where the campaign plays out, the gutter, then I have no doubt the presidency that follows will be swimming in raw sewage. It isn't about each side pointing fingers at the other while proclaiming their virginal innocence. It's about the rest of us saying we are sick of this crap and we want better.* But very few people do. So open up the valves at the waste water treatment plant and let the caca start flowing like champagne. It must be an election year.
