pickens has been known to make big bets... i call them bets because often he is way ahead of the time. since he is worth several hundred million he has landed on his feet. I noticed in some interviews with maria a year ago he was telling her he was short oil when he forecasted oil prices dropping. i expect at some point it got too painful for him and he covered his short positions. g
