No. Being a Nazi isn't so bad. Most Germans were Nazis- either by party membership, or by identifying with the folks in power. But what you DID as a Nazi could be very bad indeed. The folks who were bad (imo) were the Nazis who were Nazis because they liked the ideas of the Nazi party- and who actively participated in the killing of the Jews, gays, disabled, or who thought the "purification" of the race was a super idea. I'm comfortable with spelling it out like that. I've never particularly blamed the German people who weren't behind killing all the undesirables- I think that sort of insanity can happen anywhere (and does).
