Agree.

But it would take is one event, one GE earnings surprise, one Lehman Bros. selling for $2 a share, for gold to kick up again. If it doesn't, the sheer increase in money supply, and the concomitant inflation it brings, should do the trick.

In any event, lots of tea leaves suggest that the stock market will be going up which is not good for gold.

I am confused so I stay on the sidelines, neither retreating nor going on offense, but with a wary eye for the exit door.
