Um, M is, as I said, roughly equivalent to MUMPS. That they are now used interchangeably does not give recognition to the history of the language. The origin was "MUMPS". But you would argue with a freaking brick wall about an insignificant point. Um.

The fact is that M, MUMPS, wtf you want to call it, is an archaic piece of work. At any rate, I'm pleased to see that they are developing a VCL/Delphi client (since we use Borland/Codegear tools) -- apparently, they have realized the deficiencies in having used MUMPS -- at least they've determined a cleaner user interface is possible with modern day tools.

I'm sure someone has done a translation to Java, but I'm not aware of any open-source version.
