Wow, I so agree with you on this. Republicans in general and this bunch in particular have a silly dismissal of polls.

Polls are incredibly useful to an administration. It tells what people deem important, what worries them, and perhaps most important, how the public perceives a given situation or event.

Often the public has a false perception of something. The poll alerts the POTUS to this so he make his ideas better understood.
