"why in the world would you ever encourage more useage of that energy source?"

Perhaps that statement says it all about our debates. You will absolutely never find any post by me that encourages more usage of that energy resource (i.e. oil) - never Steve - do you acknowledge that? Do you realize that you never debate the point at issue. Why is that? Do you need to distort? Do you need to avoid? You tell me Steve - what about you makes it impossible for you to stay on point? What Steve is it?

If you have a commodity that is in delicate balance between supply and demand the price is set by the incremental unit of production. If demand is 100 and supply is 99 the price will rise. Therefore the goal is to get supply over demand. You can do that by increasing supply and decreasing demand. To the extent you restrict supply you drive the price up. You will never find me wishing for increased demand. I have told you over and over to build all the wind and solar facilities you want - YOU DO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT - RIGHT?

Unfortunately cars, trucks, planes and trains do not run on solar or wind power. Those fuels will be replacing electricity, only a small amount of which is produced by burning oil.

Steve - to the extent you and yours restrict supply you drive the price. To the extent you restrict supply you help the oil companies and hurt the populace. Big bad oil - well - not as big and bad as big bad environmental extremists.

Now let's see if it is possible for you to stay on point!
