Kate -

Two things you said motivated me to respond.

>> Howard Dean willing to disenfranchise two major states to give the race to Obama.<<

This business of saying that Howard Dean or the Democratic Party is disenfranchising Florida and Michigan voters is starting to wear thin. The Party made up rules. Members of the party had input in the rule-making process. Once decdied on, the rules were made known to everyone.

The Democratic Party bigshots in Michigan and Florida decided, in contravention of the rules, to vote earlier, in order to have more of a say in the selection process. So now, when the rules are being enforced, they really have nobody but themselves to blame. They wanted to have more influence, and they're ending up having less. Boo hoo.

>>But the rank and file of the Democratic party keep quietly going to the polls and saying 'Hellooo......excuse me, but we really like her a little better.'<<

Several hundred thousand more of them have said they like Obama better. I don't see why that should be ignored.
