ron paul doesn't take into consideration all the retirees who have mutual funds or 401k investments in the stock market. Many of these people have a much better chance to grow and are not hurt by this housing crisis. most retirees stay in the home upon retirement. How many retirees are buying large ticket items where inflation would make a major difference to their spendable income. inflation also helps them as soc sec is cola adjusted. the biggest impact to elderly is medical costs.
