Had dinner last night with Republican friends. There assessment which I think is rather typical now. They were for obama and saw him as a new inspiring John Kennedy. However in the race he has cooked his own goose with them. As much as they don't want a clone of Bush they are swaying toward McCain. They said all their other friends are the same. Even Democrats. Don't like either candidate but Hillary preferably... and otherwise they are casting for McCain.
