Lane3: I don't see any reason why McCain and a D congress couldn't or wouldn't do that. They can't do that and do the Iraq thing and the Iran thing too! Nor that. No reason at all. Same reason as above PLUS the fact that McCain has promised not to raise taxes. There is no free lunch - somehow you have to pay to do these things. Would cut jobs up front, later add lots to keep up with the demand for health care You are making my argument for me. You want to cut jobs in a plunging economy - I want to create "good" jobs. steve
