You are dancing. You shift the discussion making it almost impossible to follow your logic. I took the time to answer your question in detail as to how I would help the economy.
And I took the time to support you re the Buffet tax and jobs.
Context: But my original question, which you did indeed take the time to partially answer was
"What would you have your next president do with the economy? The war, I understand, but what federal action needs to be taken on the economy that a R pres and a D congress couldn't or wouldn't do?"
Since I asked you what economic moves you wanted that would elude an R pres and a D congress and you gave me a list of moves, it seems pretty consistent with the train of the discussion to ask you to close the loop on that original question and explain why you think that the moves you enumerated were not possible with said R pres and D congress.
That question is still open. Your reply was "They can't do that and do the Iraq thing and the Iran thing too!" I can't make heads nor tails of that response.
If we got off track, Steve, it was this conclusion of yours from out in left field: "You are making my argument for me. You want to cut jobs in a plunging economy" Since I never hinted that I wanted to cut jobs and was supporting you on creating jobs, the diversion was your creation, not mine.
how do we protect the economy NOW. That was the discussion.
My comment about another recession was an aside, a quip, not intended to further the baseline discussion. Perhaps you missed my iconicon. "OTH, a job loss that massive might cause another one. :/"
Best I can tell, where we are is me unsatisfied with your response, something about Iran and Iraq, but not sufficiently sanguine to pursue an explanation. Unless, of course, you want to. <g> |
