Lane3;

That question is still open. Your reply was "They can't do that and do the Iraq thing and the Iran thing too!" I can't make heads nor tails of that response.

Sorry, some things I think are obvious and this was apparently one that was not to you. Let me elucidate;....... The list of items I suggested to get the economy moving were a list of things to do here at home. We could do those now of course, but that would sink the dollar ever further as the governments spending fell further into deficit. That would be bad for the economy. .....So the problem is to find the funding to do these projects. The huge drag on government spending that could change almost overnight is to stop spending in Iraq. Bring that money home and spending it here would help the economy. ......Sorry! I thought the spending issue was obvious enough in connection to creating jobs that I did not need to go through this explanation - I was wrong to conclude that. And one more time to bring this full circle and create a conclusion - NOTHING in McCains rhetoric suggest for a second he will end the war and bring that money home to spend on jobs here.

You are making my argument for me. You want to cut jobs in a plunging economy

This one I am still confused on. My argument was to jump start jobs - the bases for any economic recovery. How do you recover without them? I did say that Hillary's health care initiative would prevent the creation of jobs - BECAUSE the money would not be there for job creation if it is gobbled up providing health care for everyone. Perhaps again I did not explain the money issue? You said her health care initiative would cause a loss of jobs - yes - but it also gobbles up huge amounts of money. Where do you make that up? Especially if you need to create jobs?
