Perhaps others might share your views and he or she could become a "white knight" compromise candidate at the convention.

It is Dem primary voters who are to blame, nobody else. A white knight candidate would have a serious handicap of not being selected by the people. The Reps would justly make hay of that. The Dems have elected two losers in a row, and seem to be trying to make it 3 out of 3. It should be noted that both Bush in 2000, and McCain in 2008 were considered two moderate for much of the Rep base. Bush as it turned out, was not really a uniter as claimed, but that can always happen. The Dems need to start fielding candidates a bit to the right of the base, and see how they fare. Too bad Mitt didn't stay true to his former views, and switch parties and run as a Dem.
