"Bob, by drilling in Anwar, are you thinking prices would come down as a result?

I still see no compelling reason to squander that natural resource as long as we can buy it on the open market and meanwhile shift to greater fuel efficiency."

Every drop imported is a drop paid for. Every drop produced is a drop not imported.

Kate, Who benefits and who looses from not drilling in ANWAR or other locations?

Does big oil gain or loose - less supply means higher prices - big oil wins - except for the company who might win the leases. Less supply - higher prices - oil companies win.

Does Joe sixpack gain or loose - less jobs higher prices - Joe Sixpack looses big time.

State taxpayers - do they win or loose - loose tax revenue.

Drilling companies - win big with more demand - but more people working and more taxes paid.

Bearcatbob investor - win or loose - shortages make Bearcatbob a financial winner - and I thank you guys all.

Pandering politician - wins big because environmentalist voters buy the pander.

So - gang - who wins and who looses with restricted drilling?
