The appearance, I thought, was in excellent taste and for an excellent cause (I know, you "loathe" the military, but not everyone does).
But I did find something in the anti-American, liberal media link you posted, that I found interesting.
It seems that BOTH George Bush 41 and 43 experienced the HIGHEST ratings (89% approval) of any presidents since Truman. (I guess these positive events are the kinds of things the media wants to ignore).
But the most interesting thing comes from Bush 41 -- Where his HIGH 89% approval rating was followed, slightly more than a year later, by his all-time low 59% dis-approval.
If one thinks about this just a bit, the ONLY conclusion that can be reached is that these scores are less than meaningless, they are manipulated. While it is true that in that year there was a minor economic downturn -- extremely minor -- it is also true that Bill Clinton managed to TALK THE ECONOMY DOWN in his successful effort to win power. The economy was slowing, but not particularly bad (and, of course, all was well within a short time of Clinton's taking office -- who could of guessed it?).
And these kinds of fickle, senseless polls are what you think presidents should base their decisions on. Geez.
