Hello Pezz, Today’s Report:
I worked from home, helping to organize the saving of a lost soul in Hawaii, because that is what I like to do, especially for deserving friends, to the best of my abilities, in concert with other friends, so that all can demonstrate friendship when it really matters. Personal crisis are better endured as friends come together, and the dark interregnum is made less dark.

In between times of today I also tried to save a lost and lonely soul meandering around on this thread, for I am inclined to help when I can; you know, a lost dog here, a missing cat there, and never step on a worm.

Now, I have just picked up the coconut from kindergarten and dropped her off at paul’s home for lunch and after lunch play, as Thursday is when the coconut visits with paul. I will work from the office tomorrow because Fridays are when paul visits with coconut, also when my in-town lunches are enjoyable, together with comrades and all the good fun and good conversations, and so better to leave the kids and minders to roam the home at will.

In the course of the chit chat this AM with one threader named zim, I became curious about how the habit of posting live trades by you and I came about (as opposed to just simple declaration of positions to give context to postings), and so searched back, way back, to my first report to you, to see what it was all about – and here it be Message 18396696 January 2003

<<Good evening Pezz, Tonight's Report:
(a) Purchased two dollops of Newmont Mining at 29.26
(b) Shorted two dollops of NEM June Call Strike 30 at 3.40
(c) Shorted one dollop of NEM June Put Strike 30 at 4.00

Do I understand that your <<Profit aprox 18%-20%>> is pre-tax, as in your silent partner, Sam, will rake off 600 basis points to fund security operations for everyone's benefit? If so, good work, and thank you:0)>>

This was in response to one of your posts on scores to date, and which was in equally good spirit. The search result was not very illuminating as to the origins of live reports.

I searched further back, to the first time we communicated, where I was discussing something with c2 and you chimed in Message 16848907 January 2002, and I quote

what you see is terrible news, because if (a) folks are already spending like crazy, (b) building like nuts, and (c) filling up parking lots with new SUVs, then a further increase in economic activity can only come from increased capex.

If the above current conditions that you have described has not and cannot stem the tide of profit declines, balance sheet vaporization, and unemployment increase, resulting in an aggregate loss on all indices, even when supported with the sharpest decline in short rates in living history, enhanced with fiscal bacon bits, and flavored with a war, may I therefore suggest to you that (a) we do not understand the monster we are facing, (b) casualties will be large in the continuing and confused melee, and (c) the prudent action may be to let the bullish lemmings charge on, filling in the cannon with lifeless organic matter, and fulfill the requirement for my described abracadabra.

Again, all seemed on the up and up, and nothing approaching the level of appendage size comparison.

Now we are graced with a zim, who is simultaneously (i) insecure, (ii) inadequate, (iii) lonely, (iv) spiteful, (iv) disruptive, (v) of little worth, (vi) meaningless in the yaholigan and raginbullocks way, (vii) of no redeeming social value whatsoever, and generally (viii) either a buzzing mosquito or slimy human slug, not offering up prime evil worthy of attack, not contrary enough worthy of harsh engagement, and by the read of the thread, generally putting folks off.

My original intent was to engage with, delve in deeply, and explore around with a twisting twig, but, alas, I thought as the feedback of the threaders roll in, why concurrently waste my precious time, use up my stretched cpu tocks, and engage with what basically is a human slug or worse? All for what purpose? Destroying the airport lounge?

And so, I now go back to work, something about signing tt forms on commissions due for ships hired and such that sustains operationally leveraged schema benefiting from the twin pivots provided by two complementary economies and folks need to turn on lights and cook food as a part of their ddaily routine.

Anyhow, I will keep my habit of putting my discussion points within context by providing inklings of trades done for the purpose of sounding off of thought points and macro issues, until such should prove disruptive in the main, and when so, just tell me to stop.

Chugs, TJ

P.s. I see that your FEED trade is working out, a good thing.
