It should be pointed out that while Utah is home to many fine companies, I am sure, it also harbors the U.S.A.'s greatest constellations of Junk Science laboratories. For a fee, just about any "wonder pill" advertised in the National Enquirer or the back pages of your favorite tabloid can get a Utah "laboratory" to endorse it. For a larger fee, such labs will produce a "scientific report" describing its wonders. This dirty little secret is known to every inert ingredient pill pusher, con man, defense lawyer, consumer protection prosecutor, and, of course, the FDA.
