But it doesn't really matter in NC. McCain will win NC in any case.

Haven't look at the numbers on that score recently. But my guess is that NC is very much in play in the fall. Large African American population which is registering and voting; proportions of well educated much higher than in Jesse Helms days.

Right now, if I started stacking up the states, I would put NC as definitely a swing state, but leaning Dem.
