The breakout in the semiconductor sector must be respected. That's a very bullish signal. Moreover, continued strength in the USD could result in additional overseas buying of US equities. On the other hand, breadth is quite poor. The Bears got excited early on and then got squeezed again. What else is new?

I sold TLT yesterday because it was going up grudgingly (on Monday and Tuesday) after being quite oversold. If the Fed raises 1/4 point next week and then sits back and goes on hold (for a while), that's bullish for the USD and bearish for bonds and gold.

I understand there is some sort of storm or minor disturbance out there, which is bearish for equities short term.
