JF, there are two reasons why I like Osama:

Fair enough.

The number one reason I like him is that it (at least) appears that he will stand up to the special interests. You can't have a solution to energy when you have the energy lobbyists writing the energy bills. You can't solve the medical cost issue when you have the drug and insurance companies writing the laws. These are huge issues and require more than the industry input... they affect every American.

I agree. He is certainly a liberal, but was known for compromise and open mindedness in Illinois.

Last but not least, I think he is one very smart person. Call me elitist if you want, but I would appreciate a very smart person in the WH. Some folks, for whatever reason seem to be against that.
