Alomex :. ruling out more mass layoffs is not "cooking the books"

I believe the post author was summarizing S. Jobs statement to Bruce Francis/CNBC at last week's Seybold Conference in S.F.

Mr. Jobs said he saw no need for further mass layoffs thereby avoiding a writedown charge this quarter or next. Product refunds/discounts will be in next quarter .

Jobs kept the option open for job elimination or as IBM used to say "Manpower Leveling" , which they avoided using in folding Aptiva .

It is important to remember Jobs stated AAPL's Board would now participate in AAPL's share appreciation yet there has been no public announcement of their new option plan .

The continued lack of a CEO , sales zecks being squeezed out , no board option plan and IBM's Aptiva void sparks my interest .

Larry E.'s unsolicited praise of AAPL on Monday at his annual meeting cannot be overlooked and forces me to inquire:

.... " Alomex are you flexible enough to short AAPL at $35 ?"

Know you are , but if AAPL comes near earning expectations and a CFO is named who knows ? Mark quickly ; contact and ask your bagel guy !

Regards, Jim K.
