My sanguine self eventually acknowledges hopelessness, belatedly always, but eventually. You've had the last word.

New topic? "comment on the first two sentences of this paragraph as they are my beliefs and not someone else's."

First two sentences: I believe we can do things to help the economy - but we must pay for them. Anything else is dishonest.
I believe there are things we can do to help the economy, too. Of the ones we can do, some might even be wise to do. Of those, some might be cost effective, to boot. Some might not have a budgetary cost at all or a negligible one. We should give those first priority. Those options with a price tag are inherently poorer choices, all other things being equal.

So, I disagree that we must pay to fix the economy. And I disagree that doing otherwise is dishonest. It's only dishonest when you don't pay for things that come with a price tag.

I think I just broke my new rule about keeping it simple and leaving out the personality.
