Salt and pepper. It was delicious! I don't know where I got the recipe.... actually, the original had an egg wash on it - keeps the roll together better but I tried it without the egg. Also, it had a slice of ham on it.

You can use blanched asparagus and strips of blanched sweet red pepper which is very colorful.

You might be able to do it with some kinds of fish... which would probably be tasty also.
