I am reluctantly coming to the opinion that America isn’t ready for a black candidate. Every criticism of Obama is labeled racist. How can we have a debate under those circumstances? Only a black Republican can get away from this racial grievance nonsense. It will be hard for the grievance mongers to claim that a black President doesn't count because he is a Republican, which is what they have claimed about SoSs Powell and Rice.
