Trimm thinks the Patents are a big deal. And it's not resolved. Either they can sell them outright with an offer or they make more overall by licensing them out. In other words, why would someone else want to buy them. Keep hope alive. Novell is a double edge sword. The Linux world is pissed at Novell because of their selling out to Microsoft. So the code might be frozen. With Red Hat they can keep applying updates. Novell didn't bring anything to the table anyway except a sales force.
