If you don't have a problem with outsourcing medical care in order to cut costs, why do you have a problem with a set price list and a single payer? The first is the free market in operation. The 2nd is socialism. The first increases competition, the 2nd, within a certain area of the economy, eliminates competition. The first is people freely contracting for the performance of services, the 2nd is eliminating that freedom, or at least preempting it by forcing people to pay for a system through taxes.
