If Wright is anti-American, so are an awful lot of people.

Personally, I think he should go out and talk about race. Interpret the black experience for white people. Continue the dialogue that Obama challenged people to have about hatred. I don't think it would hurt Obama at all. It would neutralize the clips that Republicans are sure to show if he is the candidate. Anyone who wouldn't vote for him because of that wouldn't vote for him anyway. It would take some subtlety, but I think Wright might well be capable of doing it. Especially if he could do it with someone like Martin Marty, his teacher at the University of Chicago.

Of course, then the mantra might be that Wright is an elitist, just like Barack. Those elitist black people, born with a silver spoon in their mouths.
