Personally, I thought Boeing raised some excellent points in that news release. Those, along with the revelation in the Times several weeks ago that Airbus had gotten the DOD to change the specs after the fact to favor a larger airplane, certainly makes me think the process should be seriously reviewed for stupidity, if nothing else. Speaking of which, if you want to see another DOD f**kup of a similar nature, take a look at this: nytimes.com
