I don't buy the ridiculous notion that if we just abandon Israel the Arabs will love us. It IS a ridiculous notion, and it is naive for us [or anyone] to believe that our troubles with the Arabs start and stop with the Palestinian issue. The plight of the Palestinians is little more than a whipping boy for the Arabs. If one looks at the evolution of AQ, the agenda more closely resembles the Unabomber Manifesto than it does any deep seated concern for the Palestinians or Israel's "occupation" of Arab lands. You could pick Irasel up and move them to Arizona today, and it wouldn't change the Arab hatred for the United states one iota.
