<<<I'd like to see if a case can be made for substantial racism in America in this century and looking forward. >>>

There are laws against racism. Racism has basically been outlawed, but has it gone underground? Is there a blackmarket for racism?

Go to suburban neighborhoods and see that there are enormous number of neighborhoods that happen to be segregated. Can you prove there is racism going on? Similarly in the work place. Can you prove there are places where there is an unwritten policy to exclude hiring based on race?

In every day life, do people live and react to people in situations based on personal feelings that are instigated by racial appearance?

The answer seems obvious. The only question that remains is how pervasive is this practise. Bottom line, I believe racism is a disease. It is a sickness. It is sickness that is worldwide. If it were treated as a disease, there wouldn't be enough money that could be raise to treat this disease.

BTW I believe racism is more than just a two way street. When one candidate gets 92% of the vote, it is just not possible that race has nothing to do with it.
