OXY hits new high based on Central Utah Hingeline OXY hit a new 52 week high on Friday IMHO based upon the new discovery in Central Utah. OXY has been trying to keep the wraps on the discovery but size deemed to be significant. finance.yahoo.com UBS Analyst Report on 4/24/08 stated: Catalysts that could propel OXY shares 1) OXY’s close to being awarded 2 moderate sized development projects in the UAE; 2) success in the Hingeline play & ample running room has not yet caught investor attention, in our view; 3) strong balance sheet has OXY positioned to further consolidate Permian/California position at a time of tax-motivated selling by privates; & 4) OXY may be awarded the Bahrain onshore re-development project.
