"Mish's Deflation scenario playing out as he called it." Today, I went to buy Indian Basmati rice. Not only had most of the rice vanished from the store, but the one remaining brand was selling at $20 for a 10-pound bag. That is an increase of more than 100% in the last 3 years or less. And I remember making use of "Buy 1, get 1 free" deals on the same brand of rice not too long ago! Yet, we have stupid fools like Mish saying that we are living in a raging deflationary period! However, that doesn't prevent him from buying and storing frozen hamburger and chicken - why would the dude do it if he was sure prices would collapse???? Maybe he is not such a big fool after all! ;-)
