Actually, I think we shouldn't block oil drilling. However, I also think we shouldn't give incentives to drill more. The market price of oil gives plenty incentive to drill. Right now, I'd just like to see us invest in a clean energy future that minimizes the need for oil. Let's reduce our consumption of oil by 75% so that we can subsist on what American oil companies produce. That should be our goal. Then we can kiss the Middle East and Venezuela goodbye because we won't need them anymore.
