Haven't posted for awhile---just checking in----as I worked on several personal projects I spent some time reflecting on the main messages that the Clinton and Obama campaigns have been putting forth. A few observations-------

Hillary has gained in strength recently as she started playing hardball Democrat politics. Whereas, in the early part of the campaign she appeared reticient to attack Obama-----handling him with kid gloves.

Obama made a strategic error in the early part of his campaign----that was to identify with the black Kenyan half of him rather than the Kansas white half.

As I see it, Obama's mistake was in not running as an American with no reference to color and race.

Now that race has become a major issue for the Democrats they are referring to Republicans as the racists-------this is really laughable.

This is the self imaging and reflection by the Democrats onto the opposite party, in this case the Republicans ----projecting the concept of racism that is now prevalent in the Democrat voting patterns in the Primary Campaign States. Both Hillary and Obama see 'race' as a major issue as thay seek votes for the Primaries.

If its true for us, the Democrats, then it must be true of the other major Party--the Republicans.

That isn't going to float, Republicans have historically embraced people (Americans) of all racial and national backgrounds with the main credential being qualified and American. One need look no further than the appointments that current President Bush has made in the government.
