Not hiding behind the dictionary, Tenchu. Just trying to establish a common framework. It is very clear that when I post one thing, you either actually understand it differently or pretend to.

And that post is a perfect example. It wasn't lame, it was accurate. It wasn't a straw man argument on my part. If you actually thought so, then you don't understand what a straw man argument is. It is a technical term, with a precise meaning. It was pretty clear that I wasn't putting words in your mouth and then attacking that as if it were your argument. I was pointing out that if you didn't consider over 37 metric tons of high explosive delivered with a precision guided munition as a significant response, then you have something much bigger in mind.

Your labeling that as a "straw man argument" and then trying to discuss it in that framework is a lot like labeling a CPU a rock and then trying to discuss geology.

It can't be done in such a way that anyone can understand. Which, again, is the only reason why I can guess you do it. When you sense you can't win, you throw this crap out to make it impossible for the discussion to continue. When it degenerates from their, you declare that the other can't defend their position and claim victory.
