The fact that it applies to other things IS support for my opinion.

And it would probably apply to a greater degree with health care, because of all the rhetoric about health care being a right.

I am showing you that the reverse is true as previously public activities go private.

Sometimes but generally government tends to grow. The public sector activity has to either be truly awful, or be opposed by some very powerful political force for it to go away. If its just bad, rather than truly awful, inertia will often keep it in place.
