You know how many land developers were saying pretty much the same thing in 2005???

The debt of the land developers should be measured against their income and wealth, not the national income and wealth.

In any case their particular situation is not very relevant to the issue of government debt, and esp. not to the specific statement I made about government debt.

If debt as a percentage of the economy was not important, and the simple level of debt was important, than a country of 50,000 desperately poor people with a debt half of the US national debt would be in a better situation than the US is. That's nonsense. Even for people or corporations the equivalent would also be nonsense, Intel could safely carry more debt, than Joe's pizzeria.

If you don't think the debt/GNP ratio looks bad now, then wait until later this year. .

It won't be very different later this year than it is now.

No Administration has ever come close to BOTCHING a War this badly.

Nonsense.

If you had been on one of those roofs waving to the helicopters I think you might have had a different opinion.

Unlikely, and if I did, than that opinion still wouldn't make much sense.
